In recognition of the volume of work Gerald gave to the entertainment industry, and especially to the radio industry, I would dearly love for Gerald to be posthumously awarded a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame under the category of Radio. His performances as “Philip Marlowe” were adjudged to be the definitive characterisation, with Raymond Chandler’s tribute, quoted elsewhere on the “Radio” page”, a shining endorsement of Gerald’s acting talents. Gerald also starred in “Yours Truly Johnny Dollar”, “The Whistler” and many other major CBS radio shows of the time, both as actor and narrator.
If you, gentle reader, agree with me that Gerald should be awarded a Star in the Hollywood Walk of Fame, please complete the form hereunder and return it to me. If I receive a sufficient number of votes, I will take the matter further.
