MOHR
RADIO, FILM, TELEVISION AND STAGE
The sheer volume of work in the media of radio, film, television and stage is formidable, to say the least!

During the early 1930s he was a cub reporter for CBS Radio News with an unknown number of appearances.  He learned his acting craft with the Orson Welles Mercury Theatre Company and this biographer has discovered that he appeared in “The Petrified Forest” as one of the gangsters, and starred in Jean Christophe.  If, gentle reader, you are aware of any other stage appearances, please contact me.

In 1939, at the age of 25, he appeared in 5 films, 4 uncredited and as a Pilot in “Panama Patrol” (see Film Photo Gallery).

During the 1940s, he appeared or starred in over 300 radio shows and  30 films.  In 1946 he appeared in the stage show “A Guy Could Change” in Lima, Ohio at the same time the film, “A Guy Could Change” in which he played the same role, villain Eddy Raymond, was on general release.

In the 1950s he appeared or starred in 26 films, 82 TV dramas or comedies, one stage show (“Square Root of Wonderful”, 1957, on Broadway) and nearly 200 radio shows, including his “Philip Marlowe” series.

In the 1960s,  he appeared in a further 10 films, including voice-overs for “The Fantastic Four” and “Aquaman”, two films for television, “The Bravo Duke” and “The Woodpile”,  and 60 TV shows, including his final performance in the completed pilot for television, “Private Entrance” (see separate page).
